IMPORTANT! IDEAS Board Member Elections - 15 September 2004
All IDEAS members are asked to participate in the ballot to elect 3 new Board members for IDEAS. Our annual routine Board rotation has resulted in the 3 vacancies, and the deadline for your vote is 28th September 2004.
Nominations for the three Board positions have been invited and received from our members during the past 30 days. We have provided, in the DOCUMENTS section of the website, a paper giving brief details on each of the nominees, and we have provided their CVs (resumés) in full in the same section, under their own names.
The IDEAS Constitution requires that the ratio of Developed to Developing country representation on the Board be maintained at 4:6, and these elections must therefore result in the selection of 1 representative from a developed country, and 2 from Developing countries or Transitional Economies. The ballot form has been designed to cater for this distinction.
We invite each of our members to vote for the three nominees of his or her choice, using the ballot paper which is provided in the documents section, and to return it by Fax or email to the IDEAS Secretariat before 28th September 2004.
