Call for Papers and Presentations, International Workshop on Evaluating Climate Change and Development - 19 September 2007
The Secretariat of the International Workshop on Evaluating Climate Change and Development would like to announce its Call for Papers and Presentations. The International Workshop will take place May 10-13, 2008 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt. The International Workshop aims to identify good practices, methodologies, and information gaps in evaluation of climate change and development projects and programs. By doing so it aims to realize the potential of evaluations to contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
REGISTRATION is now open and accessible via our website at . There are no fees, but participants are expected to cover their own travel and expenses. The organizers will award funding to some participants from developing countries, selected by a process to be announced later.
PROPOSALS for papers or presentations should address methodological issues in evaluating either climate change mitigation or adaptation. Research studies and non-evaluative assessments may also be considered, provided they are relevant to the evaluation of climate change issues. These may include reports on methodologies, measurements, and indicators or studies on the relationship between mitigation/adaptation and development.
Proposals should be submitted by November 15, 2007. SUBMIT an outline or abstract (up to 500 words; in English) by emailing the Secretariat at . Include author contact information and professional affiliation. The Selection Committee will notify authors of its decision by January 8, 2007.
